Douglas Bamweyana was left disappointed with the result against champions Vipers on Saturday but happy with the boys’ performance.
Viane Ssekajugo scored for us in the second half to cancel out an early goal from Muhammad Shaban.
“I am happy with the performance but very disappointed with the results,” he told the post-match press briefing.
“We were the better team on the day in my opinion and deserved more than a point.”
The gaffer was also left to rue some decisions by the men in black stating the Sharks were unfortunate with some calls on the afternoon.
“I thought we weren’t playing exactly as we should have on such a level of playing field in my opinion, we were probably like a foreign team in some aspects and it’s very unfortunate but we worked hard and deserved to win.
“We had 2 good penalty calls but it wasn’t meant to be, luck wasn’t on our side from the officials. That said, we created enough chances to win it but never took them away”.
Three games and as many points is all to show for the Sharks in the campaign so far and Bamweyana feels the return isn’t what deserves the input and performance.
The Purple Sharks take on Onduparaka in Arua on Tuesday as the search for first maximum points continues.
